The J4212U… This reader has a certain simplicity in its UART protocol that I enjoy. The GPIO suspense—wondering if the trigger would fire—is gone because the logic is so fast. If you need low latency, try this.
The J4224 is another reader I keep around for my lab testing. It’s quite reliable. Here is where I like to start my integration: the USB-to-UART bridge works perfectly on Linux.
